Motley

Meet Montley.

I found this pattern at Carolina Patchworks. There are so many of her patterns that I must make when I have time. However, Motley is a christmas present for my dad. He is a very difficult man to get anything for as his hobbies and interests are extremely expensive.

I do not currently have a design wall in my sewing room. I am trying to move things around and get rid of what I can so that I can create one. Motley has taught me I truly need one. I am enjoying seeing this come together but boy it can mess with your head if you try to just work of the pattern without laying out the pieces. I am only half done and I don't normally take pictures of my tops half finished but I love this one so I thought I would share.

Are you working on any interesting patterns??

A day of finishes

Thankfully today has been a day of finishes. I have been working on my 100 day hustle list and trying to finish presents for christmas. Today I managed to cross 2 more off my list. I finished the Plus quilt for my brother and the Tetris quilt for my future SIL. Words can't explain how much I love these quilts. Especially the tetris. It will be hard to part with them but I know they will be loved and used!!

As you can see it is pretty windy here today but I love the look of the leaves next to these 2.

  4. Use some scraps making potholders and other small things for gifts.

Oh and I did get a squishy in the mail. (I just love squishies). It had these 2 lovely blocks in it from the Liberty and Justice bee. Can't wait to see these all put together but that must wait.

Last finish of the day was this Bee block for Christinia. This has to be the easiest block ever asked for in a bee.

Till next time.

Just a little while...

Sorry I seem to have disappeared for awhile. I've been working strange hours with work and staying busy with everything else going on. I did manage to finish the quilting on 2 different quilts today! I'll put the binding on tomorrow so I can mark them off my list.

On a side note. Does anyone else catch themselves creating for everyone else and forgetting about themselves? Well that's how I feel right now. I mean I love all the beautiful quilts I have made and can't wait to see the looks on faces when they are opened, But I am just dying to make something just for me. Hopefully I will finish soon with christmas presents. If not I may just have to have another WIP.

Can't leave you without some pics so here are some recent finishes.

And some recent Bee blocks.

Wow if you stuck around you can see I've been busy. Till next time!
